Sunflowers are unique in the world of flowers...they grow tall and strong, even in adverse conditions, such as poor soil, harsh weather, and limited resources. They symbolize the enduring power of the human spirit.
Sunflowers are "heliotropic", which means they turn their heads to follow the sun. Because of this, they are symbols of loyalty, unwavering faith, complete devotion, gratitude and friendship.
Sunflowers symbolize an inner strength due to their ability to thrive, to embrace change and continue to grow and evolve. They remind us to hope for a better future.
Sunflowers have amazing ability to remove toxic radiation from the soil faster than any other plant. Thousands have been planted at nuclear disaster sites to clean up contaminated soil and water. Remarkable.
And Sunflowers display the wonder of creation. As Dante Alighieri stated, "Nature is the art of God."
It's these qualities and more, that I had in mind as I worked on my drawings. I hope you enjoy!

All prints are made to order, printed on archival, 65 lb, acid-free and lignin-free cardstock, insuring the quality of the print does not diminish and yellow over time like regular paper. Each print has the title of the piece written on the bottom left and includes my signature bottom right. I've also included a print of my recent portrait work in this collection, just for fun :). These prints come unframed. A framing guide for the artwork for an 11" x 17" frame is included and is available as a PDF download below, as well. Print is packaged carefully and shipped in a hard mailer, so it arrives in excellent condition.
Enjoy looking through all six Sunflower prints!
